Over the years, practitioners in the non-formal education sector have suffered from recognition, growth, and development. Some of which ranges from lack of training and retraining, accreditation of programmes and centres, certification of members and students, members networking opportunities, among others.Furthermore, practitioners have little or no access to funds, supports or loans. No or little encouragement as to personal and professional development. These, and many others are why and what led to the establishment of the Institute of Non-Formal Education Practitioners (INFEP).& INFEP is registered by the Federal Government of Nigeria with Reg. No. 1924147, and accredited by other government agencies, including the Federal Ministry of Education National Board for Technical Education to run programs that will lead to the provision of National Innovative Diploma (NID), and Certificate Courses National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-formal Education Agency for Mass Education. We are also recognized by UNESCOs Institute of Lifelong Learning - Germany the World Literacy Foundation - Australia and Bridges for Enterprise New Delhi - India.Mission & Vision Mission Statement: To build an Institute which will be a citadel for the advancement of training, retraining, accreditation, certification, and protection of non-formal education, its practitioners and students in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.
